Biography

Adedoyin Olayiwola Fakoya was born on July 27th, 1977 in Lagos, Nigeria to Pa Tikare-Fakoya and Senior Apostle Abiodun Adebola Fakoya.  He was a kind and generous kid who always thought of others. Those same characteristics he exhibited as a child shaped the man that he became. He attended Surulere Baptist Primary School from 1984 – 1990. From then he went to Eric Moore High School and graduated in 1995. He obtained a degree in Estate Management from the University of Lagos in 2004 and an MSC also from University of Lagos in 2006. He then went on to become a project manager for the Nigerian Immigration and Passport Control Agency, Socketworks Limited, in Lagos, Nigeria.

Doyin lived a life full of joy and energy and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He was a man of faith and a proud member Folawiyo Bankole Memorial Methodist Church in Surulere, Lagos.

Doyin was always jovial; a happy man with a magnetic presence, the life of the party. On any given day you could find him at a local buka after work, Sade eleja, or eating amala shitta, relishing a meal and jisting with friends. Whether you were out and about or home sitting around, it was always a good time with him. He was also a man who reflected deeply on life.

He relocated to the United States of America in 2012 where he welcomed the arrival of his beautiful baby girl Feyifoluwa Olivia Fakoya, whom he adored. While here in the states he continued to build a life that was full of friends and loved ones. He could fit into any situation and everywhere he went he made friends and left and impact.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mojisola Fakoya; siblings Muyiwa Oshinowo, Busola Adedeji, Yetunde Fakoya, Jumoke Fakoya, Seyi Fakoya, Deji Fakoya, Yewande Owoade, Ayoade Owoade, Funmilola Fakoya; daughter Feyifoluwa Fakoya her mother, Abiola Ajala; as well as a host of nieces & nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.
