Dr. Eleanor Cook Davis, 89, a resident of Granville County, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Granville Medical Center.

A native of Palm Beach and Martin Counties, Florida, she was a teacher and administrator for over thirty-four years in Palm Beach County Florida School System. She relocated in Oxford in 1997. She was of the Episcopal Faith and was a familiar face at Milano’s Restaurant in Oxford. Her wishes were to have no services.

Surviving are her daughter, Eleanor Davis Manchester of Oxford, two grandchildren, Tamie M. Simmons (Jason) of Smithfield, Scot McGiveron (Tom Dow) of Denver Colorado and two great grandsons, Jase and Spencer Simmons and a niece and nephew.
