DR. OLUSEGUN AYODELE KALEJAIYE (MBBS)

CHAIRMAN/ CEO. OAK HOSPITALS.

Dr. Olusegun Ayodele Kalejaiye was born on the 6th of April 1960, to Pa Festus Adeniyi Kalejaiye of Ajepodo quarters, Ijebu Igan & Madam Beatrice Elewa Kalejaiye (Nee Olusodo) from Odosenbora.

He attended the following schools:

  • Ebenezer African Church Primary School, Oke- Ado, Ibadan. (1966-1971)
  • Ijebu Ode Grammar School, Ijebu Ode for his Secondary Education. (1972-1976)
  • Federal Government College, Odogbolu for his Higher School Certificate (H.S.C.). (1977-1979)
  • Donetsk State Medical institute U.S.S.R. (now Ukraine) for his M.B.B.S. (1980-1987)
He returned to Nigeria two months after.

Work Experience

  • He started his one-year clinical experience in Island Maternity, Lagos (Sept. 1987- August 1988).
  • For his N.Y.S.C. program, he served in the 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala Barracks, Abeokuta (1988/1989).
  • Dr O.A. Kalejaiye started his working career in October 1989 as a Medical Practitioner in Oshoffa Memorial Hospital, 82 Aladelola Street, Ikosi- Ketu, Lagos, under his boss, Edward Abiodun Fapohunda of blessed memory. He became the Medical Director of the hospital from inception October 1989- July 2000
LOVE LIFE

Whilst working in Ketu, he met the love of his life, his junior in Federal Government College, Odogbolu, “Funmi Odukoya”, a beautiful, disciplined, amiable and irresistible young lady on the 4th of November 1989. The relationship resulted in Holy Matrimony on the 6th of April 1991 which was also his birthday.

OAK HOSPITALS
Dr. O.A. Kalejaiye disengaged from Oshoffa Memorial Hospital in the year 2000 and proceeded to the land flowing with milk & honey- IKORODU, in order to actualize his dreams of touching lives via quality medical practice.

In the year 2007, to the glory of God Almighty, OAK Hospitals; a leading innovation-based hospital was established with the vision of Touching Lives. Location was 197, Lagos road, Agric, Ikorodu.

In line with the word of God in Job 8: verse 7, “though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end shall greatly increase”, the coast of OAK HOSPITALS was enlarged on August 17, 2010 when the permanent structure was purchased. On September 26, 2011, the Chairman/ C.E.O. of OAK HOSPITALS, Dr. O.A. Kalejaiye with his family members and all the medical care team, Allies and well wishers had a thanksgiving service to celebrate God’s faithfulness in the Hospital premises on 191, Lagos road, Ikorodu. A place he served God and humanity until his home call on that glorious Saturday, June 6, 2020.

  • Dr. O.A. Kalejaiye was a respected member of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA).
  • He was an alumnus of Ijebu Ode Grammar School old boys association (JOGSOBA)
  • He was an active member of Christian Men’s Fellowship at St. Judes Anglican Church, Magodo G.R.A.
  • He was the Vice-President of Igan Youth Circle (home based)
Dr. Olusegun Ayodele Kalejaiye was a distinguished family man. His love for his family was admirable. A silent achiever, kindhearted, peace loving, gentle man par excellence. He was a lover of Christian hymnals. “okan mi yin Oba Orun”, “Ajogun ati asegun ni a je”, “Amazing Grace”, “Si o, olutunu orun”, etc.

He maintained a sweet and safe relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and had a deep & closer walk with his saviour before he joined the Saints triumphant.

He was happily married to his amiable, beautiful, trusted, God-fearing companion, Mrs Funmi Kalejaiye. The union is blessed with wonderful children with Godly characters; Ayomide, Ayodeji, Ayoola, Daughters-in-love, Ifeoluwa and Doyinsola with beautiful Grandchildren.
