There is so much to say! Our family has forged a strong bond with you and Earl over the years, and we always look forward to our annual visits (and a meal), Earl was always a charmer, especially with Sarah! He had such a great passion for American history, and telling us tales from such. He also forced (well, insisted) that we listen to Andre Rieu every time we visited. God bless, Earl!

Dearest Ella,
What are friends for??? So saddened by your news, but happy to know that you're sharing it with friends and family and that you have a very, very classy sendoff for Earl -- just as it should be. Every time we pass your house on the hill in LaHave, we wave hello to you both. We're currently in Barcelona - thinking of you with love...

A touching tribute to a special man! Ella Mae, you have been so much a part of my life and who I am for over 60 years and that means Earl and your family are so special to us also. Though not able to be together in person, you and Earl are forever in Bob's and my hearts. Earl was so caring, fun, intelligent and loving as you are. We pray you take care and know you are loved always!

I am so saddened to hear of Earl's passing. I enjoyed his great sense of humor and was more than happy to be his straight "man" when the opportunity arose. My heartfelt condolences go out to Ella, Paul, Lauren and Michael. I always missed Earl and Ellen when they returned to the US, at the end of their LaHave season. We will not laugh together again, so sad.

Paul and I are so very sorry to hear of your loss. Earl was a treasure and loved by his family. You know that we understand the loss of a spouse and our thoughts and prayers are with each of you.
God Bless, Love and Hugs, Marlene and Paul Jenkins

I am so glad that I was able to get to Uncle Earl again in these last few years. He was funny, and I enjoyed talking with him. I loved reading the book he wrote. I had never realized what a sweet and witty man he was until our last visit. When I think of Aunt Ella Mae, I automatically think of Uncle Earl. He will be missed. I love you both very much.

I am so sorry to receive this news. My Russell passed away in May and life is not as it once was. I pray and you will be right there on the top of the list. If I could do anything other than that I would. I love you dear Ella.
