Earnest Blount, the son of the late Dave Blount and the late Ruthie Mae Tucker, was born in Chambers County, Alabama on March 8, 1945. God called him home on November 7, 2011 at Lanier Health Services, Valley, AL.
Earnest accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior as a young adult. Earnest loved the Lord with all his heart and soul.
He received his education in the Chambers County Public Schools.
He was well known for his smile and his sense of humor and for his famous saying,” I am little piece of leather but well put together.” He never met a stranger. Earnest loved being around everybody, so he was giving a signature nickname that fit his character. The name that was given to Earnest was “E.B.”, which stood for Everybody Buddy.
Of the many jobs that Earnest held was the one he enjoyed the most, was his employment at David’s Automotive as a mechanic. He was the first person that you saw when you walked into David’s Automotive. You would see him smiling and talking. He loved David, the owner, like he was his son and David love him like Earnest was his dad. Earnest retired from this position in 2009 due to failing health. His favorite hobby included visiting people.
He enjoyed watching old cowboy movies and watching TV reruns of In the Heat of the Night.

Earnest memory will forever be in the hearts of his love ones: His only Son and Daughters- Sabrina Burton, Melissa (DeForrest )Heard & Tarrance Blount all of Lanett, AL; Anesta Blount, LaGrange, GA; god daughter, Tasha Carwell, Lanett, AL; 11 Grandchildren,4 Great Grandchildren, two brothers, Willie James Bailey and MacArthur Tucker, Lanett, AL; 3 nieces, 1 nephew, special relatives and friends.
