His Life

Earnest Edwards was born January 18, 1932 to Edmond and Vernoia Edwards.

He joined Elam Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He attended Coosa County Training School, after which he joined the United States Army and served for four years.

In 1954 he married the late Mrs. Eula Mae Spivey and born to them were six children.

He worked and retired from Robinson Foundery for 40 plus years.

He was proceeded in death by his wife the late Mrs. Lois Edwards.

He departed his life July 23,2012 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama.

He leaves to cherish his memories: (2) daughters, Cathy (Johnny) Baker, Sandra (Larry) Gaddis; (5) sons, Melvin Ed­ wards, Earnest T. Edwards, Stanley (Julia) Edwards and Rickey Edwards of Alexander City, Alabama and Jeffery Earl (Nikki) Edwards of Dadeville, Alabama; (1) step-daughter, Minnie Johnson ofDetroit, Michigan; (1) stepson-in-law, John C. Floyd of Youngstown, Ohio; (2) sisters, Alley Iverson and Annie Lee Wilson of Gadsden, Alabama; (2) brothers, Curtis (Cora) Ed­ wards of Rockford, Alabama, Calvin (Sandra) Edwards of Kel­ lyton, Alabama; (3) brothers-in-law, Bobby (Norvella) Russell, Bradford and Ratford Henry of Alexander City, Alabama; (28) grandchildren;(23) great-grandchildren; (3) great-great grand­ children and a host of others relatives and friends.
