Memories with Daddy

Shared by Headliner Oladimeji on June 21, 2020
He would have been 80 years old today. Maybe you would have gone to Ibadan with me to party if there was no 'Coro'. Or the party would have taken place on Zoom. But God knows best. Happy Posthumous 80th Birthday Dad. Facebook brought one of my old posts about him .I am sharing below My Daddy is my Daddy, no one can take that from me! He's done so much a father can do to protect his children. When I was a teenager, I remember one notorious boy called Sina stoned me because he felt I was a snob and Dad did not waste time in marching to their house with his Cutlass. That cutlass doesn't come out of his room except u have really provoked Daddy. Another instance I saw him bring the cutlass was when Toun Memorial Hospital Ibadan kept me on Admission and could not diagnosed what was wrong with me until I had a ruptured intestine, common typhoid they could not diagnose in 1995. Dad threatened to behead the Medical Consultant if I die, the Consultant didn't need to be told that my father meant business before he rushed me to UCH Ibadan. Popsie mi love his children o! Chai, he does.... Daddy We can't pay back for all you have done in encouraging us in life. As God has made it possible for you to see another year, He will continue to be with you. Baba Keji, Balogun Dodondawa! The Planner!, Happy Birthday to you. We love you Daddy.

My heart was overwhelmed with joy when I saw you in 2017. I didnt know that would be our final goodbyes. They say the Lord knows best ofwhich is certainly true but it is very difficult to part ways with our Loved one. I know Great people don't last long before the Lord calls them home. Elijah, Enoch, Abel, Apostle Paul, Peter had to leave earth because God had a better plan for them in heaven. Like they say, we love you but God loves you most! My heart was filled with gratitude to the most high when I was told that your last word was "Jesus is my strength " because the bible said whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. I have no doubt you are spending your eternity with our Lord Jesus Christ. With all the battle you fought on earth, you were rewarded with Heaven! Rest on dad and may the Lord almighty grant all your offspring and family eternity. I will forever to grateful to the Lord for giving me a father like you. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God the father and the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all. Amen!
