Eddie, you will always be in our hearts and prayers. You are sorely missed at 180 Grand. This place hasn't been the same since you left. This world was a better place with you. I know that heaven is a better place with you and one day, we will all come to visit you.

It seems so long ago that you left us. I still miss your smiling face and gentle ways. I am so happy to have met you and I know that 180 Grand is not quite the same without you. You are missed by everyone that knew you. I know God is looking out for you as you are truly special.

Eddie just came to my mind this month. I remember him playing his horn in the lobby of our building one night. He wanted to hear the acoustics! What a lovely man and gentleman. I miss this gentle giant.  But when you remember them...they are with us!

I have many memories during the 9-years of working with Eddie at 180 Grand. I will always remember him knowing everyone by name, his humor, fishing (and other) stories, and drum tapping humming presence at the security console. He always had a knowledge and pulse of the building like no one else.
I am pleased that he was able to find such love and happiness in his life. Good bye my friend.

But if the while I think on thee, dear friend,
All losses are restored and sorrows end.

Shakespeare said it better than I can. I will remember him fondly. He was good to everyone, thoughtful and genuine. No one could ask more of a human being. Go gentle, Eddie.

I also worked in the same building as Eddie. I left the Bay Area several years ago but I still remember him very fondly. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Eddie was a truly kind and genuine soul who will surely be missed by many. During the year and a half that he worked at 180 Grand while I also did, stopping to talk with him was always the highlight of my day. I've thought of him often since he left to retire, and always regretted not being able to say goodbye. Such a wonderful person will never be forgotten.

Eddie was one of the world's truly good people. A kind heart and a class act. Our football pool will never be the same without him. Indeed, the world was a better place with Eddie Hill in it.

Eddie will be missed. We worked in the same building together for many years. I was so surprised to hear that he had moved, but happy to know it was for love. I wish I had the chance to say good-bye. I am so sorry for your loss. He was a kind, sweet gentleman and will always be remembered fondly.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Eddie. I worked in the same building as he did in Oakland and I loved saying hi to him every morning. He was a great person. I am glad he found love and was happy and I am sorry that he was taken from you too soon, Elaine. You must be a very special person too.

Eddie greeted me every morning at 180 Grand for my first few years as an attorney. I was always happy to see his face on those early mornings. He shared stories of his life as a musician and his weekend fishing trips. Eddie was a bright shining light in my life for many years and he will be missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Eddie for 8 years at 180 Grand. When Eddie came to our building I had no idea what a quiet force he was...knowing every single building occupant by name. I loved hearing his stories of playing his horn in Europe. Once he brought his horn to the building (after hours) and puckered and sent sounds into the Lobby. This was a rare treasure. Missed not forgotten.

I'm so saddened by Eddie's passing. He was such a kind man, always had a smile on his face and something nice to say. He will be missed.

I am shocked to hear this and am so very sorry. Eddie was the most gentle, sweet and thoughtful man. He truly loved his companion. I still miss him very much. I still have his CD that he made me as we both love music so much. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone. I know that Eddie will be missed and loved forever in everyone's heart.

I have nothing but pure gratitude and appreciation for having known such a wonderful dear person as Eddie. Elaine, I am so saddened you have lost your best companion, and will always remember the insights you shared with me.  When Eddie told me that he was leaving for Vegas to be with his woman, he showed that one-of-a kind love you knew so well.

Thank you, Eddie, for sharing your life, your love, and your final days with me. You were, above all, my best friend and I will love and miss you for the rest of my life. I will always remember our laughter and our tears, and will never forget the "lessons of the soul" you gave to me.
