In loving memory to our father from his children

Eddie Marshall Glover, Jr. was born on February 7, 1940 to the union of Eddie Marshall Glover, Sr. and Virginia Glover (Robinson) in Birmingham, Alabama where he lived until 1956.

Eddie attended Libbey High School where he graduated 1958 and attended Statzenburger College for a short time before enlisting in the United States Army. He completed his training with the 101st Airborne division and received his paratrooper wings. He was honorably discharged as a Corporeal in 1960 and became a member of the American Legion later in life.

He married Joyce Derring on August 22, 1995. His greatest fandom was the Cleveland Browns. Other fandom included the Philadelphia 76ers, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the New York Yankees.

Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Eddie, Sr. and Virginia Glover (Robinson); siblings Delores Williams, Ralph Glover, and Shirley Glover; and granddaughter Janelle Chere Glover.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joyce Glover, sister Carolyn Glover, his brothers-in-law, Donald Derring, Keith Derring, Thomas Derring, and children Edward L. Glover (Enid), Virginia, Tracey Glover, Eunice Glover, Dr. Sandra Glover-Strothers (Dr. Marc), New Jersey, Cheryl Glover, Trina Turner, stepson David Lockett, stepdaughter Carmen Renee Sullivan, and former spouse Nancy Lockett Glover. Eddie was blessed with over 20 grandchildren and great-grandchildren total along with a host of nieces and nephews to whom he was a father figure to many. Countless others who cherish his memory, his advice, and his mentorship include numerous cousins, neighborhood kids, and friends. We will miss you dearly.

Thank You so much for being the father figure in my life. I had so much fun with you and your family, and I will always be grateful for you all taking me, mom,and auntie in and making us feel like we belonged there. My fondest memory would be going to the store for you to grab a 12 pack of Pepsi, 2 cans of French style green beans, and a bottle of WHATS THIS HERE sauce( Worteshire sauce)! Rest peacefully, I love you
