Brother Eddy, I still sometimes feel you just travelled somewhere and will be back. I am in disbelief you are really gone to that place of no return. When I think again of that dreadful day you left us, I feel the chills. Bro, where ever you are now, just tell my father Ta Mbuayang and his sister Ma Aferenow that you left us in a state of unity you had exemplified before you left us. Tell Ta Arrey Akpang you fought a good fight but the lord said to you it was your turn to come and meet them in that land of no return. Papa, the only promise I can give you is that So long as I live here I will continue to foster the family unity you all taught us. Adieux bro!

One of my most memorable moments of Uncle Eddy was in form one at Saker. I sat in same class with Ebot but never knew we were related. He came to visit and asked Ebot to come get me. That moment he thought us both even though we were very young, he instilled the importance of family. Family was the core of his being... today we tend to follow his footsteps. You are missed and forever be but your teachings will remain and dwell in me for ever... Farewell until we meet again!

If only words could describe the wonderful example you were to everyone you met, I would have tried to use some. We still hear your voice in our hearts when we attempt to act without regard for the common good. 'Daddy', Thanks for all you have done for us!
