Brother J, I still can't get to grips with the fact that you are no longer here with us....always ready to take a call and discuss positively and progressively a way forward.
Our meeting in Dubai was to be the last time I set eyes on you but only God knows why he's called you home...
You will be sorely missed but Rest in the bosom of our Lord till we meet again.

A TRIBUTE TO MR. JERRY EFEDEDE WESLEY

If I say this death no pain me, na lie I dey lie. Whaaat? Just like that?  You know, there are things you just don't imagine. But it happened. It was a bitter pill for us to swallow.

The news of your death was a big shock to my husband and I because we talked about you fews days before your death, not knowing that you were fighting for your life. You had so many Big Big dreams, you really hustled to get to where you stopped. But God knows it all, for He alone knows our end from our beginning. He brought us into this world  for a purpose. So, we cannot question Him when He decided to call you back home.

Adieu Bros, till we meet at the bosom of the Lord, to part no more.

Jerry's death came to me as a rude shock. Met Jerry in Abuja in 2013 and he became not only a business partner but a brother. We had a plan to do a lot things together but alas that is not to be again but God knows the best. Jerry rest in peace till we meet to part no more. "O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory? But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ

REMINISCING .........
Jay, we made a covenant, a marriage covenant with God, the author of our union who was our main witness and before the human witnesses present. We took an oath for better, for worst till death do us part, and you promised to love me making our love the envy of others.

Our Alpha, who knew our beginning, our in-between, and our end - kept us together and legally married till death us did part, despite it all - despite the invasion.

Yes!
We had a beautiful and humble beginning with so much sacrifice, we built our union on true love and not materialism; loving each other and giving our all was what we knew. Though we had very little, we built our marriage and home on our faith and hope in God. As we sojourned, we continued to build our marriage and our love anchored on Christ the Chief cornerstone. When l became downcast and cried due to our challenges, you would say, “sweetheart, we are married for love and children are added value”, you would further say “Our love is forever notwithstanding” I gave my heart, my whole and my all to us, hence some friends called us ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and some referred to me as the biblical Ruth.

However..............................

I remember all the good memories of us - Grace and Jerry as best friends. We experienced exciting, painful and tough times together enveloped in love.

l vividly remember our conversations and prayers about us happily growing old together because we were bosom friends always happy together.

I remember the jokes, tickles, the rough play as young lovers, our Sunday dances, our long walk holding hands and your cooking prowess, especially your exceptional cooking of fish, beef and chicken stew together in the same pot.

I remember your ‘bribe phrase’ to make me laugh when you get me upset which is the same as your flattery when you found me impressively and beautifully dressed up - “Ileyemi aya Jerry” (Ileyemi Jerry’s wife)

We had dreams, aspirations and plans, shockingly, life happened to us. All our plans, our dreams, the promises all gone with the wind.......

What can l say Jay!!
What can l say Edirin!!!
God sees and knows all.

Jay, Sleep well. Samuel, Rest well in the bosom of Him who you always proudly declared loves you so much.

We shall meet again on the resurrection morning.

Adieu!!!

his Life

SNAPSHOT OF JERRY’S LIFE STORY.

Jerry was born in Lagos, Nigeria as Samuel Edirin Efedede. He later took on the name Jerry after trying some other yuppie names. He also decided to take on his father’s first name - Wesley as according to him he did not know his grandfather so why bear the name of a person he never met.

He travelled to Italy at the age of 23yrs, he relocated back to Nigeria at a point but soon returned back to Italy where he lived until he met and got married to his wife Grace who lives in the UK

Following their marriage ceremony in Bergamo, Italy, Jerry moved to London, United Kingdom to join his wife Grace and the both of them later moved to live in MIlton Keynes. Due to work / business commitments Jerry found himself living in Abuja, Nigeria.

Jerry passed on  01/02/2021 as a result of C-19 in Abuja and buried according to C-19 protocol.

JERRY AND HIS GOD

Shared by Grace Wesley on March 30, 2021
Jerry was a devoted member of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, MIlton Keynes Tabernacle, UK, who would in the earlier days of the  the church, dedicatedly wake up every Sunday morning at 7am to go to the venue to solely arrange the chairs. Following which he returns home to prepare for church service schedule for 9.30am.

Jerry loved praying and had passion for prayer and things that has to do with God.

Jerry was a giver, on his list amongst others were widows he gave to monthly who he does not know personally. He also had desire to build about 1,000 churches in his lifetime, though he did not achieve this but was able to achieve a few.

His consistency and dedication to God’s service was unparalleled.

My dear husband your mansion is waiting for you for your selfless service.

Sleep Well!!
