Died Thursday afternoon,
August 5, 2010. Edith was born December 6, 1927 in Westpoint, Arkansas the daughter of William and
Thelma (Todd) Jones. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1956 and was employed with the Portage Public Schools for 18 years before retiring. Edith was also a member of the Flowerfield Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Tammy Burchard; a sister, Joyce; and a brother, Johnny. On July 21, 1956, she was united in marriage to Loyal F. Bruchard who survives. Also surviving, five children, Larry (Sherry) Laxton of Manton, MI, Lois (Mark) Reynolds of Plymouth, IN, Valerie (Dave) Ward of Portage, Cherie (James)
Lentz of Vicksburg, and Jim Burchard of Portage; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Jessie Moodey of Mackenzie, TN; a sister-in-law, Jeannie Jones of Marcellus, MI; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins
