Edith made the most delicious apple pies! When she was  home all day Saturday, she would cover our kitchen table with  newspapers and on top wax paper and she would get out her pie plates and start to mix the pie dough, I would watch her peel the apples and put  them in the pie crust and add sugar, pats of butter and sprinkle cinnamon on top and then place the pies  in the oven to bake..you could smell those pies baking all through the house and Sundays, we would all gather in the c dining room for special  dinners that she would make  for us..she has so many  cookbooks, she always made something  so good for dinner!
