His Life

Edmund Arthur Milner (Ted) died April 27, 2019. He was born on February 26, 1947 in Atlantic City, N.J. He was preceded in death by his Father, Howard, Mother, Ruth and granddaughter, Mikayla. He was a graduate of Greenhills High School in Cincinnati, Ohio and later went on to receive his undergraduate degree from The University of Cincinnati and his MBA from Xavier University.

After graduating from Xavier University, Ted began working at Federated Department Stores in Cincinnati in the Accounting office. He then moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he successfully obtained and managed two Baskin Robbins Ice Cream stores in Tempe and Mesa and taught Accounting at Maricopa County Community College. After Lilly Ice Cream Company sold the state franchise, he then went on to become a multiple store manager for Tosco ( Circle K) and continued until health issues required that he resign from his position. He continued to work in retail with the majority of his time at Dillard’s Department Store. Ted had a deep love for children and, after leaving Dillard's, worked with the Campfire Literacy Program as a tutor for which he was even highlighted in a televised news story.

He is survived by his beloved children: Michael, Kathleen (Katie), Megan and Kelly, his grandchildren: Caleb, Roan, Nora, Elijah, Aspen, Aron, Liam and Emeline, and his sister, Kathleen M Valentine.
