Oh, my first best friend. I was trying to remember how long I've  known you and your family. My first memory's as a child are with you. You were my first best friend. We saw each other every day until the day my family moved. We never stopped being friends. When we would see each other it was like we had never been away from each other. You and your family were who introduced me to Christ. We would play church in the yard. For that I am eternally grateful.
When I was on that side of town I would say I'm going to see my best friend but I never did. Now it is too late. It gives me joy because I know I will see you again, but it makes me cry because I will never see you on this side of eternity again. I love you and I will miss you dearly.
