Edward Leroy Bame, age 80, died of a heart incident with his daughter, Liz, by his side on Sunday, September 24, 2023. He was a 1961 graduate of Northridge High School of Dayton, Ohio where he played high school football. After high school he joined the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Mechanic from Sept 1961 – Sept 1965. He then went to work for 30 years with The DurIron Company (now Flowserve) where he was a Machinist and an active UAW member before retiring. Ed will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, papa, and friend who always took care of others before himself.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy Bame & Hattie Bame (Vance), his wife, Carolyn Bame (Beck), his brothers Alvin & Jack Bame, his sisters Agnes & Anna Bame, his sons Karl & Jonathan Bame.

He is survived by his wife Linda (Osborne), a son Leroy, and his daughter Liz (Joel Sander). Daughter-in-laws: Angela Gibson, Roxana Bame, and Tonia Bame. Grandchildren: Bryant Robinson-Bame, Stephanie Nelson, Kathleen Robinson-Bame, David Bame-Niculescu, Griffen Sander, Hailey Sander, and Bella Bame. Great Grandchildren: Rori, Ben, Oliver & Owen.
