     Edward Conwell, 73, of Peoria, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019 at Generations at Peoria.

     Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Church of the Living God Temple, 2815 West Lake Avenue, in Peoria, with Bishop Leroy Smith Jr., officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.

     Edward was born on March 11, 1946, in Peoria, a son of Marion and Wilma (Brooks) Conwell. He married Gwendolyn Osgood on March 1, 1969. She preceded him in death on January 21, 2012, in Peoria. He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Courtney Osgood; and brother, Marion Conwell Jr.

     He is survived by his children, Quinten (Angela) Osgood of St. Paul, MN and Tracy (Harold Walters) Conwell and Stephanie (Ricky Yates) Conwell, both of Peoria; sisters, Gwendolyn Wilson, Sheila Seals and Rosezona (Johnnie) Johnson, all of Peoria; sixteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

     Edward proudly served in the United States Navy from 1966-1968. He retired from Caterpillar after 34 years of service. He then was a bus driver for Dunlap schools.

     Memorial contributions may be made in Edward’s memory to Church of the Living God, 2815 West Lake Avenue, in Peoria.

     Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue, in Peoria.

Our families lived close to White Grade School, and I grew up knowing the entire family all through high school. My heart is sad for Sheila, Gwen and Rosie as they deal with their loss.

Hi grandpa its Leigha

Just want to let you know I miss you so much already. Your absence has hurt us all deeply but your joy love and  laughter will remain in our hearts forever. I won't say goodbye cause I pray I get to hug and kiss you again so until then watch over us and keep us safe. Give grandma a big hug and kiss for me. Love you always
