Edward Frederick Elliott, 74, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham.

Ed was born May 10, 1943 in Granville County to the late James William Elliott and Mary Moss Elliott. He was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church and worked at many businesses in Oxford. He worked at Fox’s Department Store, Byrds Grocery Store, J.T. Oakes Motors, Elliott’s Grocery, ran the Red Barn in South Hill, Virginia and sold Dish Satellites. He loved Nascar Racing, International Tractors and anything Chevrolet.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 12, 2018 at Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Johnny Richards. Visitation will follow the Graveside service in the fellowship hall of the church.

Surviving are his daughter, Cynthia Elliott Beasley (Jeff) of Bullock; a sister, Flora Tingen of Roxboro; three brothers, Ray Elliott of Creedmoor, Walter Elliott and Clyde Elliott of Roxboro; two grandchildren, Hunter Beasley of Bullock and Taylor Bennett (Lance) of Sophia ,N.C. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Elliott; a sister, Wilma Wilkins and a brother, John Elliott.
