His Life

The Life of Mr. Edward Saunders

     Edward David Saunders, was born November 27, 1932 to the Parents of Milton and Hazel (Graves) Saunders, in Sayler Park Cinti, Ohio. As a Child he attended the First Baptist Church of Delhi. He joined under the leadership of Reverend J.D. Deering with whom he was baptized. He sang in the choir along with his siblings and was an active Trustee. He sang with a Group called the Saunders Trio with his two sisters Jean and Joann. They were featured on the Paul Dixon show on Live TV.                                                                                                        He attended Sayler Park elementary school, as well as Hughes High school. He left high school to join the military, where he served and was honorably discharged in 1956.  He was also on the front line in the Korean War. After Serving in the Military, he started a career with the Board of Education.  He worked with the Board of Education for 28 years and then retired.       Edward met his Forever Love Bessie Foster Saunders. They were married in 1959. They had three years of courtship and were united in Matrimony for 62 Years, being together a total of 65 years.                                                                                                                                          He was an avid sports fan and a true Ohio fan. He loved to watch the Bengals, Reds, and UC. These were three of his favorite teams. He actually would watch almost any kind of a sport that was on TV. He also like to watch old Western movies.                                                          He was proceeded in death by his Parents Milton and Hazel (Graves) Saunders; Three sisters Jean South, Joann Harris, Arletta Saunders; Four Brothers Smith Saunders, Milton Saunders, Joseph Saunders, Arthur Saunders; Two Daughters Cynthia and Deanna Saunders.                                                                                                                                               He leaves to cherish his memories; His wife, Bessie (Foster) Saunders; Children, Vicki Saunders, Terrence Saunders; Three Grandchildren Jordan Saunders, Breaile Saunders, Terryn Saunders; Three Great Grandchildren Chole Burse-Wooten, Novah Saunders, Montize McKelton Jr.; Brother-In-law James Foster; Two Sister-in laws, Margaret Saunders, Shirley Saunders, and a Host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.  He also leaves to cherish his memory a Special Daughter Chiquita Roberts (Greg) & Family.
