SCHWARZ, EDWARD C. - 71, of Atlantic City was called home to be with the Lord on Monday March 7th, 2016. Eddie was born in Atlantic City where he attended local schools. After graduating from Atlantic City High School he enlisted in the US Navy where he proudly served his country. Upon his discharge he returned home and met the love of his life Claire (nee Douglas). They married and made a home in Brigantine where they raised their two sons Eric and Frankie. Eddie was a bartender in Atlantic City for 25 years. He worked at the Chalfonte-Haddon Hall, the Blue Bird Bar and the Scranton Bar where he was affectionately known by his many friends as "Critter." Later in life he was employed as a security guard at the Hilton Hotel and Casino. Eddie had a huge heart and would do anything for a friend or loved one. He was a dedicated and loving husband and father. He was always there for his family and will be deeply missed. Eddie loved music, the beach; sports and cheering on his Phillies and Eagles. He loved to fish and was a force to be reckoned with in the local pool and dart leagues. Most of all he loved being with his family. In recent years he cherished time spent with his sons. Edward is survived by his sons Eric (Seth Bookey) of South Plainfield and Frankie of Brigantine. He is also survived by his sisters Nancy Dow, Marylou Giovanazzo, Ida Corona, Barbara Murphy, Carol Sands and many nieces and nephews.
