ForeverMissed

Edward W. Brostowicz, age 85, of Mullica Hill, New Jersey, formerly of Roxborough, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 18, 2014.  Ed was a retired fireman who served the Philadelphia Fire Department for many years.  He was the much beloved husband for 58 years of Patricia (née Fleming), the dear father of Joseph (Barbara) Brostowicz, and Karen (Martin) Hasselman, and the loving grandfather of Sara, Rebecca, Emily, and Eric.  Funeral arrangements for Ed will be private, at the convenience of his family.

After retiring from the fire department, Ed moved to North Cape May, New Jersey, and then worked for another twenty years at Ocean Holiday Motel in Wildwood Crest, N.J.   It was the most enjoyable job of his life; he was working for great people, and he loved the ocean and the peaceful feeling it gave him.  Ed was a dreamer.  He knew how to fix just about anything—and whatever he didn’t know how to fix, he could figure out.

Ed was an all-around good guy who loved God, and his hero was Pope John Paul, II.  He also loved animals, but most of all, Ed loved his family.  He was a wonderful husband and father, who will be greatly missed; we loved him so.  Rest in peace, my darling.

I worked with Ed in the Phila. Fire Dept. and he was a first class gentleman, and an excellent craftsman. He will be missed, rest in peace Ed, and condolences to Pat and the family. John & Marion Skarbek
