This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Edward Carr Jr., 82 years old, born on June 20, 1929, and passed away on January 6, 2012. We will remember him forever.
The past four years were as I figured would happen - a daily prayer, remembering the good and bad times, all the love you gave me and our kids. All in all my world fell apart for I had to walk through the woods alone, solve many, many problems without your advice.
I miss you so much Duke, no one will ever know my loss. One day we will meet again to be together with our families again. Love forever, Esther! xoxo
Even for a writer, an author, some life long deeply held feelings cannot be adequately expressed in words. Repeating those same words said at the time of his passing do not do justice to his memory,I can only say that he is constantly in my prayers especially at Mass and I feel that he and my Grandma have heard them.
Duke, You Are The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me. We've been through the happy times, the good times and lots of hard times. We raised six beautiful children and they've all abandoned me, but as I told you, "I Will Survive" and I will be back home in Georgia very soon - a place You and I called "HOME". I love and miss you more than I can say here. Thinking of you every day! Love, Est.
To My Love, As I've said many times before, I Will Always Love You. I'm trying to be strong my love, to endure the impossible, carry on your principles in the family - to love, nurture, advise but the devil seems to intercept my tries. Miss you so so much but you need a rest from all the turmoils that affected our retirement. God bless you, rest in peace til we meet again. Love always and forever, Esther

God, You have the best of the best in heaven. Edward W. Carr Jr., and my love for him is forever. He put up with a lot, but being a pragmatic type person things didn't seem as bad as I thought them to be. Let them go he would say ......... maybe he was right!!!!!!! Thanks for teaching me the great things in life Duke! Love, Wife
To the greatest husband I could ever had. You always were my guiding light, so loving and caring. I can't carry on without you Ed my love without your loving words to help me through the sorrowful times in our lives. Rest in peace Ed - til we meet again -- I Will Always Love You -- forever and ever! Your wife - Esther DeFilippo Carr, Boynton Beach, Florida
I miss you so much I cannot carry on without you and your comforting words. Why not me God? I love you Duke, Dad, Pops, Papa with all my heart. You were one in a million -- believe me!
I was so lucky that you checked me over at IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY back in 1954. You swept me off my feet and put up with me with so much love for 56 years! I Will Always Love You my love.
Keep things cool up there and enjoy another happy birthday and father's day. Til we're together again! Love, "Est"
This message is to a wonderful and sweet man that I only had the oppurtunity to know for a short time and I truly wish that I could have known him longer and got to know him better. The time that I did have to visit and talk with him was great. I hope you have a happy happy birthday up there in heaven. I love you. Michelle
