Brother Ed Washington along with his late wife, Sister Tommy Washington had been long time members of the Shiloh Church and Eula Mae Harrison Circle. Brother Washington, in his quiet demeanor enjoyed being of service to various church ministries. He enjoyed immensely working with the Technology and Communication Ministry, along with The Men of Shiloh and the Veteran's Day programs/projects until his health began to fail.
