Eugene was a reserved man on the outside, but had many interesting talents that he shared with those who knew him. He was a poet. He wrote poems for our kids when they were young, as well as many others at the church. He loved to hear our daughter sing and attended many of her performances. He was a hit as Mayor in one of the Community Summer Musical presented at the Farmers Branch Church. We could not have guessed he would be a part of a musical, but that was Eugene!
Eugene and Lenore were some of the first people to reach out to us when we came to the church many years ago. I remember how surprised we were when they showed up at our door with a Christmas present! They were caring people who wanted us to connect with the church.
Eugene was a unique person and he will be missed, but he is on to the next adventure with The Lord and I know he is rejoicing in it!
We will remember you, Eugene!
