Edwin Marsh Yarbrough, 79, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016 at his home.
A native of Person County, he was the son of the late Cyphers and Sarah Elizabeth Laws Yarbrough. He was retired from Athol Manufacturing as a shipping supervisor for over twenty-five years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 15, 2016 in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Creedmoor by Dr. Marc Tilley. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-four years, Josephine Champion Yarbrough of the home, a son, Edwin Rufus Yarbrough (Stephanie) of Youngsville, a daughter, Crystal Yarbrough Horton (Stephen) of Oxford, three grandsons, Edwin Mason Yarbrough, Nathaniel Tilley Yarbrough, Chase Tilley Yarbrough and a granddaughter, Zoe Tilley Yarbrough, a sister, Laverne “Cookie” Parrish (Vance) of Walkertown, two brothers, Franklin Yarbrough (Louise) of Roxboro, Wallace Yarbrough (Jewell) of Timberlake and a brother-in-law, Robert Wynn of Mebane. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Ann Wynn and Norma Jeanette Yarbrough and a brother James Madison Yarbrough.
Visitation will be held Monday evening March 14, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home.
