Edyth Virginia Davis was born in Macon, Georgia to Samuel Davis and Allo Mock on August 29, 1935.  She was the third of six children.  Edyth was educated in the Detroit Public School System.

On October 4, 1958, Edyth dedicated her life to Jehovah God and became one of Jehovah's Witnesses.  She raised her sons Ronnie and Gary in the truth.  Edyth helped many learn about Jehovah God.  Her wisdom and practical advice aided many of us to become spiritual people.  She loved the ministry and was able to serve as a Regular Pioneer for about 10 years.  During that time she spent more than 100 hours a month teaching people about Jehovah God and Bible truths.

Edyth worked for the State of Michigan for many years.  In her job position, she was always willing to assist any who came into the office.

Edyth or as most of us called her 'Miss Edyth' LOVED to travel.  She visited such places as South Africa, Greece, Prague, Czech Republic and Poland as a delegate attending Special and International Conventions of Jehovah's Witnesses.  She also enjoyed cruising and visiting many cities in the United States.

Edyth loved to garden.  Her home always had beautiful flowers.  Always the consummate hostess, she adored entertaining family and friends.  Edyth was a very sharp dresser and although she was not 5 feet tall, she made her presence felt when she walked into a room with her brilliant smile.

Edyth Virginia Davis leaves to cherish her memory her two sons: Ronnie Davis and Gary Davis.  Older sister Alma (Ed) Greer, brother Julius (Brenda) Mock, one grandson Brandon and a host of nieces and nephews.  She also leaves many friends who loved and cherished her.
