This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, EFAYOBASE ARIKPO, 43 years old, born on December 31, 1973, and passed away on June 30, 2017. We will remember him forever.
Efayobase Arikpo, a great guy, fine and consummate gentleman, An astute Banker and Economist was my very good friend , ideological soulmate with similar vision and aspiration , passed on to eternal glory this morning.
We studied Economics together in University of Calabar 1994- 1998 and thereafter began our journey in life as young Bankers . While he started with defunct SGBN Bank and I joined Zenith bank.He later moved on to Intercontinental bank and finally Skye Bank where he rose to Senior /Regional Manager in Abuja.
He was a very loyal friend and anytime am in Abuja , Efa always tried as much as possible to make me comfortable and we will spend time together with TK Ronald Obi-Akatchak . It was therefore with rude shock this morning when TK called me to inform me that our dear and mutual friend Effa is no more. Oh My Efa, my NESA President, my soulmate and ally!!!! Thanks for all the wonderful moments together. My circle has become smaller . It was a good and rewarding friendship,Loyal to the very end.
However I take joy in the fact that he totally embraced and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and saviour before his death.
At this time my heart and condolences are with his beautiful wife and his young kids.

From the classrooms/Halls of UNICAL, through the time spent in our dusty room in Wudil Kano as NYSC guys, to the your apartment in Gwarimpa where we use to eat as young bachelors; you were always available to help. Ineala and I use to share jokes about how you love to take pictures and how you will make a good politician. People like you are too full of life to pass on. God knows best. Rest from this tragic world, my brother.
