Eileen was truly one of a kind. She was a generous and loving person who loved spending time with her grand nieces and nephews. I always enjoyed spending time with her and have many fond memories. She taught me how to type on a type writer; I wrote her so many stories- and she saved every one. She lovingly tucked them away neatly in a album- (she was VERY organized) which always made me feel so proud. Every 4th of July, she would orchestrate a “patriotic parade” and insisted everyone dressed up... even the dogs. She was an amazing story teller and always knew how to make us laugh. Whether it was her gold fish prank, silly costumes (Boyfriend John), or just sitting down in her beloved motor home having a Shirley temple- every moment I spent with her I will cherish to the end of time. I miss you Eileen!

Eileen used to wear this necklace that was a small gold chain that had a gold fish on the end, and all us grandchildren would play this game with her that never got old. We would take the fish in our hand, and slip it back across the chain to the back of Eileen's neck and go, "Eileen! Your fish is missing!" Then she'd put her hand to her neck looking for the fish, "Oh no, where'd it go" she'd say, and sure enough, our hand would slip back to the front revealing the missing fish. This was something we would do every time we'd see Eileen, and she always kept it up that she had no idea where it went.. Another memory of Eileen, was up in PML and we would all knock on the door to her Humble Abode Motor Home for Shirley Temples and stories that only Eileen could tell. And for anyone who knew Eileen, know's she could be telling you a story about her old cat, and it would turn into a whole narrative. She wouldn't just get to the gist, she'd tell you the entire background story of how she got the cat, where she was, mimicking how the cat would walk around, etc. etc. She was the best story teller.. Eileen also had her own style and couldn't care less what others thought. She once wore a two piece matching camo suit to my school play, and I remember seeing her, front row with her digital camera flashing away. If I could choose one person to be my fashion inspiration, definitely Eileen.
We all miss you and love you very much aunty E. You always put a smile on my face and there will never be anyone that compares to you. Just like the gold fish on the chain, Eileen is always there even when we can't see her. Can't wait to hear all the stories about the men up in heaven;)

Oh, the fascinating stories Eileen had to tell of her childhood days in the Canadian Prairie town of Saskatoon,Province of Saskatchewan. And if that were not magical enough (per Mark Twain) ,Eileen enjoyed telling about the one-room schoolhouse where her father was the principal.  Her many grand nieces and nephews (whom she loved and who clearly loved her) could easily get her to tell about the little 4-room house provided by the school district within sight of the school and which had one wind-powered electric light. All for the Kenny family of the parents and five children.
I met Eileen after we both turned 80 ; her friendly nature was evident; she taught me all the family names so I could join in the family games And Oh, the competitive spirit in those games.;with her sisters, with the children and by us as a team at the local Bridge Club
We married in 2009 and continued a very pleasant life traveling and visiting until 2013 when it was clear that we were both entering separate terminal phases of our lives  Neither one could take care of the other; we separated so as to not be a problem to each other

May God hold you in the Palm of His Hand and give you peace and happiness in His Kingdom. I was thankful for the two weeks I spent with you in April at the Country Care Hospital. Time was running out for you Eileen, but your courage to face your sickness was not easy for a person who took care of herself for so many years. We will all miss you at the family gatherings for your helpful nature. June 24th was our Father's Birthday so you only missed it by one day to celebrate with him in Heaven with our dear Mother, sister Marg, Bill and Lou. May God Bless all of you. Good Bye, Good Luck and God Bless you all.
