ASOBEXIANS WORLD WIDE LOSE A MOTHER

The death of ‘Ma Mbongo’ as she was fondly called by all the students who attended Baptist Boys Secondary School Great Soppo, Buea has dealt a terrible blow in their hearts.
Ma EireneMbongo served as a mother to all Baptist batches from 1975-1988. She was so lovely, kind, gentle and a real spiritual mother whose love helped many to survive through the difficulties of college life. During the periods of spiritual emphasis, the students became so humbled as she emphasized maintaining a good relationship with God. Her good cakes, good meals will be missed by all of us.
As the Baptist Mission mourns this great soul, ASOBEXIANS will keep glorifying God for her life. We were truly blessed by a mother we referred to as ‘’the queen of hearts’’
Adieu Mother!!!! ASOBEXIANS thank you for all your love.

FAKO LOSES A LANGUAGE PROMOTER

IyaEireneEwenyeMbongo nee Martin was one of the founding pillars of the promotion and teaching of the Mokpe Language from 2004 till date in Limbe. She opened her institution to MolaLyongaNgoisah in 2004 to start the classes using the Carl Steanne Primary School and later transferred the classes to LumaKofele Memorial Academy.
Her zeal was to let the young Fako boys and girls speak the dialect which to her was a prerequisite to jealously preserve our cultural heritage. She did a lot. Her last presence was during the graduation ceremony in August 2015 in which she jointly presided with Late Tata Noah MbongoMolongo.
The children are devastated at her death, because she took a lot of interest in them and the Mokpe language.
The NdingeYa Mile Two Group that she supported so much to promote the Bakweri language school till date shall never forget her.
Rest in Peace ‘’AuntiEirene’’
