We knew Elaine as Will and Cate's "Zippy," and that she was! We will forever remember her with a big smile on her face in a wacky Halloween costume lighting the way with happiness for her lovely grandchildren. What a wonderful spirit she had, and that will live on in her children and her grandchildren. She will be missed. -Adrienne, Eric, Michael and Jake Barr

I miss Elaine for her friendship, tenacity, warm wit and smile. We shared many insightful conversations about politics, investments and life in general and always could not help shaking our heads and laughing about it.
We had a common outlook on life and I will miss our glass of wine and quiet talks. She was a good friend and neighbor and Bay Hill will be empty without her. My heart is where I will keep the memory of her.

Elaine was an amazing, engaged, and exceptionally warm person. She truly lit up a room when she entered, and made all who knew her a better person. Her warm hug and genuine smile were both her "trademarks," and I am better for having known her. My only regret is that with geographical distance, we did not see each other more, particularly in recent years. The world is truly a better place because of your presence, and we are all sad because you are no longer with us. Love to all of the Family, Randy

Your mother had kindness in her bones. Her sparkle and positivity will remain a cherished memory. I knew Elaine through yoga. For the past five years, we had many classes and lunches. She was easy to love and I miss her. Linda

So many memories of good times spent in California with Elaine! We met at a video convention shortly after I arrived from New York in 1991. We had adventures with ITVA. We had many dog walks, dinners, parties, & talks about our kids! All girls! When I moved back to NY Elaine & friend visited me in the hamptons & spent time with friends here in a local harbor restaurant, lots of fun.
Guess water was the draw for both of us on each coast ... the best!
I will miss you dearly good friend, my thoughts & prayers are with your loved ones. Hope your pups go along with you for the ride!
Love, Dru❤️

We light a candle to celebrate Zippy!

October 9, 2019
Today on this gorgeous October morning, we remember our cherished Zips on our hearts, on what would have been her 74th birthday. We celebrate her with her favorites: a brisk morning walk on a beautiful day, a bright shade of orange and a trip to the apple store...she loved her Apple fall announcements, as well as the fresh ocean and mountain air with those she loved!

A Friend is one if the nicest things you can have, and one of the nicest things you can be !

“That was my Friend , Elaine!”

And, a good Friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words

When I think of Elaine, I picture her amazing smile, and heartfelt laugh. We met at yoga about 5 years ago, which usually continued thru lunch. Her love of nature, our talk of our daughters and beautiful grandchildren was always so special to share. Her strength and spirit has inspired me. Kitty MacBet
