Today was rainy and cool.I have a good book by Jeanette Walls titled Half Broke Horses.As I snuggled up sipping my coffee and enjoying our favorite aurther,I was thinking how much I miss you.Love you sister.

I often think of my friend Elaine and her friend Spencer. I miss seeing
them at the park and Elaine's constant smile. I feel blessed to have known Elaine for a few short years when our lives crossed in Sun City.

Making Pumpkin pies with hard sauce (butter cream rum frosting)I always think of Elaine when I make them.She would say give me just a little piece. Than eat 4 little pieces throughout the day. Lainy sure had a sweet tooth.Do they celebrate Thanksgiving in Heaven?I hope so.

"I met Elaine when Rena and I went for a visit but had talked several times since Rena and I have been married. She always seemed so upbeat even when her health was dragging her down. On our second to the last trip visiting her we had gone to the Fiesta casino, Elaine's favorite, and she explained how to play Keno. Well I played a card and realized I had won even if it was the price of the card. Well I went to cash the card in and I had won a couple more dollars than I thought. $300 to be exact. I was ecstatic and ran back to the Denny's in the casino were we were having lunch. Though I have only known her since I have been married to her sister, I feel like I have known her forever. I love you Elaine and you are missed so much!"

Elaine and I have always had a parallel universe connection.We would need to replace appliances within days of each other,automobile repairs,eat the same things for dinner,listen to the same music,etc.I miss her and our skype sessions.
