I heard the news with shock! "Uncle Warri is dead", I was told. Despite the fact that he had moved to Port Harcourt from Warri a long time ago; somehow Uncle Lance was still warmly called Uncle Warri by my family! My siblings and I forever remember a kind hearted gentleman who has gone to rest and spend eternity in the bosom of our Lord. He ran a good race and his heavenly reward awaits him! May God continue to console the family and grant them the oil of joy for mourning!

Uncle Lanse it hurt me so much to have heard that the Lord has taken you to be with your beautiful wife Auntie Nene in heaven but the only consolation I have is that Nnenna and Oluchi were already taken and settled comfortably in their homes. Whenever you see me, your infectious smiles gets to me especially when you tell whoever wants to listen that I was your flower girl and you still see me in that li GH t considering my size now. You were a man of peace, even when I visit you at Haliburton, you treated me like a little princess. My last meeting with you was at my mum's traditional retirement outing two years ago and you still expected me to sit on your laps seeing me like that same small one. A loving uncle and great man you were. I really did miss Auntie Nene so much but alas she has you with her now. We love you but God knew it was time to come back home.. we will see one day in heaven. Adieu nwoke OMA, our daddy, uncle, friend and grandpa

Uncle Lanse, was a man that always had a smile and a joke for everyone.
He opened his home to me during my NYSC days and it was indeed a pleasant experience for me.
We always joked that, whenever I met the man that will marry me, i had to tell him first before i told my dad, and it hurts so much that I won't be able to tell him when it eventually happens.
I had so many questions to ask when my dad called me to tell me the news, but who are my to ask God questions?
Uncle Lanse, I love you, you were the coolest 'old man' ever.
You will be greatly missed, but i know you are in a better place.
Rest Easy Uncle!!!

Words cannot heal the pain of losing someone so dear. May the good memories hold deep in our heart. He was an adorable person. May God give us the strength to overcome the pain of this great loss. He was a man of principles ,Through- out his career, he stood tall for the righteous cause and never bowed to unscrupulous pressure. We feel privileged, blessed and very honoured to have him as our father.... rip dad...
