Eleanor “Nell” Jean (Frezeman) Immler, 90, of Swedesboro, N.J., went home to the Lord on September 17, 2014 surrounded by her daughters and daughter-in-law.
She was the loving mother of Jean Immler and Angela Huggins and “Grammi” of Christian Huggins, Elizabeth Huggins, and Abigail Betz.
Nell grew up in Reading, PA and is graduate of Lebanon Valley College ~ Class of 1946. Nell became a choral director in the Merchantville Schools in the 1950’s and Pennsauken High School from 1962 through 1964. In addition, she was the founder and director of the community choral group, Friends of Music Chorale from 1962 through 1972. Nell served numerous churches in the South Jersey area as a church organist and choir director. For the past seven years she dedicated her talents to the congregation at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church of Mullica Hill, NJ. Nell was a talented artist. She was a long time member and past president of the Gloucester County Art League. Over the years, her paintings won numerous awards in various community art shows. Nell loved life to the fullest and was always ready for an adventure!
She always encouraged others through her motto, “SING!, DANCE!, LAUGH!, PRAY,….ALL IS WEL!.”
A Celebration of Life service will be held at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church of Mullica Hill, N.J., on September 21, 2014 at 6:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of celebration of Nell’s life, contributions may be made to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church Music Ministry Fund.
