Today marks my mom's 101 year birthday . I dearly miss her presence. Her smile. Her joy and her calmness in my life. She was so much fun to be around. We exchanged recipes. laughed at so many things. Shared our daily activities even though we lived many miles apart. God blessed me with her. She was my mother but like a friend and a sister all wrapped in one. One day I shall see her again in our heavenly home. Love knows no distance

It has been 2 years since mom went to heaven. I miss her more and more every day. looking forward to seeing her again one day. yesterday I thought about my growing up years and how mom made a big pot of oatmeal for her children for breakfast before we went to school. We put sugar and milk on it. It lasted in our tummies for a long time. Mom loved her kids and took good care of us. With Mother's day approaching I am blessed thinking about how God Blessed us with a wonderful, caring and loving mother.

My mother is celebrating 100 years in heaven for a wonderful birthday present. I sure do miss her smile, voice, hug and kiss. We were very close when she was with us. Enjoy those that are around you. Don't let differences of opinion or hard feelings rule your heart. Life is short and once a loved one has left there is no opportunity to hear their voice or share their love. Love to my mother. She will always have a place in my heart.

It has been a year since our dear mom, grandmother and great grandmother has gone to be with Jesus. We miss her dearly but are so happy that heaven is her home . A beautiful place that we cannot even imagine but would all like to go there. Mom was a beautiful mother inside and out. She loved her family and showed it to us in many ways. The picture at the top of this memorial shows a little hand in a bigger hand. Mom wanted us to hold her hand when she was leaving us and telling us how much she loved us all. Looking one day to see her and dad in the beyond. This year mom will be 100 years old in heaven. Don't think ages are recorded in heaven but if so her age and life was an example of what a Mother and her love to her family should be. Love and miss you Mom.

My gram Cedar has always been an example of how a lady should be and how a woman of God should be. I remember her getting so tickled at something that tears would run down her face while she laughed, how she called everyone dear and how much she loved her family. I remember the times of family getting together for holidays and gram making her wonderful sweedish meatballs, and banana nut bread which she made up until she could not really cook much any more. I miss you gram. This past Sunday was Grandparents day and it seemed strange not sending you a card, seemed strange not talking to mom what to send you for your birthday or what to send you for Christmas., no more little note cards during the year just to let you know how much your loved. But I thank God that I know you are with Jesus dancing on the streets of gold. You are missed very much.

It has been a beautiful memorial day in honor of our mom and grandmother. Balloons high in the sky. A lunch of her favorite KFC. We have many wonderful memories of years gone by. A devoted mother and grandmother who loved us all. She is dearly missed.

Mom and Me

May 9, 2022
Mom and I worked together at Rochester Products Gm plant. We rode to work everyday and home. We use to stop at the store and get a long fruit cake especially at Christmas season. We would keep eating on it until we ate it all up before we got home. Of course we didn't want any supper. (smile).
One time we got tired of going home the same way all the time so we traveled what we thought was a different way. No GPS at that time . We didn't have a map but we merrily laughed and rode on. We finally realized that nothing looked familiar and we were way over in another town way off from Clarendon, NY
We laughed and laughed and it took us what seemed for ever to get home.
I am a coffee drinker. The way I started out was sitting at the table with mom having coffee when I was 14 years old. Special memories.
We use to move our furniture all over the rooms. We lived in a two story home and mom and I were moving a dresser down the stairs. In the middle of the move for some reason we got tickled and could hardly move the dresser. We finally shaped up and got the dresser downstairs.
Just a lot of of fun memories with mom.
