Obituary

August 4, 2014

St. Elizabeth was born on February 15th, 1928. She was the youngest of three children born to St. Connie Mae and St. Joseph Ladson. Her two siblings preceded her in death, Edward Ladson and Sister Elder Mary Baskin. She was born into the Church of God and Saints of Christ. St Elizabeth attended one year of College in Elizabeth City NC. She later married Martin French and had five children. She worked as a Beautician and was mostly known as Mrs. French who did everyone's Hair.

She held various positions in the Church as Assistant Chorister under the Late Evangelist Payne. Under the Late Evangelist at Large Conrad Ward, she became Tabernacle Chorister and in 1986 she was elevated to Sister Elder.  She was a faithful daughter. Most of all Sister Elder Elizabeth French lived her life in Love.  She told friends, love ones, and even strangers LOVE YOU!! In her last days Sister Elder was fragile but yet remained strong. It was her Love for the Lord that gave her the peaceful exit like an Angel on July 30th, 2014.

Our Loving Mother, will be greatly missed by her 3 children, (Lee, Howard and Cynthia) 5 grandchildren, (Angela, Michael, Jamil, Ali, and Rekim) 9 great-grandchildren, 1 Brother-in-Law (Evangelist at Large Leon Baskin, nieces, nephews, and friends.
