On October 18, 2016, heaven rejoiced as the Lord called Mrs. Elizabeth J. Laney home.
She precedes in death by her husband of 55 years, Mr. Joscephus Laney. She joined AOH Church of God at an early age and later on in life, she joined Miracle Missionary Baptist Church.
She will always be remembered as the kind and wonderful Mrs. Jizzy.
She leaves to cherish precious and memorable memories: one brother, Mr. Willie Johnson; three daughters, Patricia (Ricky) Spivey, Purline (Other) Holley, Emma (Mac) Hill all of Alexander City, AL; one son, Mr. Ricky (Pam) Laney of Alexander City, AL; eight grandchildren, Mr. Billy Joe (Rhonda) Laney, Ms. Michelle Johnson, Mr. Jerome (Tasha) Laney, Mr. Oshawa (Shonda) Laney, Ms. Kenya Laney, Mr. Kenny Adamson, Ms. Shareka (Ahmad) Adamson, Mrs. Janica (Xavier) Lawson , Ms. Naketria Duckett; one brother-in-law, Mr. Alfred McClain and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, special friends, Mrs. Paula Ellis, Ms. Kandyce Lucas and Beatrice Spivey and a host of other relatives and friends
