When I first met Paula, Pete dropped me at his moms house and said "My sister needs some help today. She'll show you." Introductions were made. Here started my journey being the helper. We built 3 horse paddocks that week. Over the years, the houseboat, chicken coops, goat house, guinea hen house, chopping down trees etc... So many projects. She was fearless. Circular saws and chain saws. I was the extra set of hands. "The Holder." As in "Hold this piece of wood straight." As she drilled and hammered away. She made us laugh with her stories. How in Highschool, if she had a date, Pete would make her go back upstairs and get changed saying he didn't like what she was wearing. She said no one wanted to go out with her when they found out who her brothers were. They always had her back. She nudged us to tie the knot saying "It's been 8 years, when are you going to get married!" so we finally picked a date. She took me to Phila. to find my dress and made our wedding a special day. She was the best sister a brother could have. She was always there for us. We miss her dearly.
