Elizabeth “Paula” Magner, 75, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away on October 28, 2022.

Elizabeth “Paula” Magner was born to Paul and Edith (Nicholas) Magner on November 28, 1946, in Philadelphia, PA, she graduated from Maria Goretti High School.

To her family and friends, she was known as “AP” and a second mother to many of her nieces and nephews. She was an avid animal lover, our “Miss Fix-it” and undoubtedly had an amazing “green thumb”.  Paula enjoyed sitting outside with a cup of coffee watching the birds in the morning, loved her day trips to the casinos, took joy in baking, adored spoiling her favorite four-legged friends Dozer, Emma, Remi and Sam with extra treats and most of all spending time with her family and close friends.

To know Paula was to love Paula. She spent her entire life caring for others, always putting everyone’s needs before her own. Her family was the center of everything she did and gave her much joy.  There wasn’t anything she couldn’t do and do it well, we all counted on her, a task she took on with ease for those she loved or were in need.  AP was selfless in every sense of the word.  There was never a time that she let the ones she loved down.  Our family and her close friends are going to miss her tremendously, her heart, beautiful soul and charisma filled the room, as she brought so much joy to all the lives around her.

Paula was the loving sister of Peter (Susan) and Joseph (predeceased); adoring Aunt of Joseph (Ronda), Christopher (predeceased), Marc, and Heather (Blase); fun-loving Great Aunt of Nicholas (Gabrielle), Julian, Johanna, Candace, Danielle, and Gia and two Great-Great nephews Evan and Giordan.

Services Private at the convenience of the family.

When I first met Paula, Pete dropped me at his moms house and said "My sister needs some help today. She'll show you." Introductions were made. Here started my journey being the helper. We built 3 horse paddocks that week. Over the years, the houseboat, chicken coops, goat house, guinea hen house, chopping down trees etc... So many projects. She was fearless. Circular saws and chain saws. I was the extra set of hands. "The Holder." As in "Hold this piece of wood straight." As she drilled and hammered away. She made us laugh with her stories. How in Highschool, if she had a date, Pete would make her go back upstairs and get changed saying he didn't like what she was wearing. She said no one wanted to go out with her when they found out who her brothers were. They always had her back. She nudged us to tie the knot saying "It's been 8 years, when are you going to get married!" so we finally picked a date. She took me to Phila. to find my dress and made our wedding a special day. She was the best sister a brother could have. She was always there for us. We miss her dearly.

What an amazing woman. The day I met Paula she was working on two lawnmowers. One ran well but was rusted out. The other was in good shape but didn't run. She combined the two successfully on her own! I couldn't believe it. She amazed me from the moment I met her and continued to do so until the end. We chatted most days, she was my "Google". Whenever she came down to visit there was no getting her to sit still. If she couldn't find something to "fix" she had to cook/bake. She took care of everyone in her life that needed care, selflessly. Family and friends alike. I still go to pick up the phone to chat with her while having morning coffee or traveling up the road somewhere. She more than deserved to take some time for herself but didn't....too busy making sure everyone else was okay! Love and miss you my dear friend. You are in heaven now with Mommy!

Paula was one sassy red head who was loved by many. When I think of Paula I smile because she was so fun to be around. She was also a very kind person.  When Paula was first diagnosed, I would call and ask how she was doing.  Her reply was always "I never had a bad day", Hope there is a casino in heaven, I'll be thinking of you!
