It is with the heaviest of hearts to announce the death of Elizabeth McDonough, 67 years old, born on May 3, 1954 and died January 19, 2022 of Forked River (formerly from Cinnaminson).

You would always find Betsy in the kitchen cooking or baking usually with Frank Sinatra playing. She was always up for a marathon of pinochle that would last all night. She wore many hats as daughter sister mother aunt cousin and friend.

She was predeceased by her parents John and Jane Haller, brother John Haller and sister Barbara Haller. She is survived by her daughter Meghan Haller James Haller, Maryann; Susan Haller; Sandra (Haller) Lascio, Christopher; Laurie Cobb; Jacqueline (Haller) Symons, Keith and all of her many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers Meghan asks for you to make a donation to Philabundance or any food bank of your choice.

Family will be holding a private celebration in honor of Betsy. Leave a sympathy message on the website for the family.

I will miss You Libbie, one of your nicknames. So many memories of coming to your apartment with “the Bear Cat” listening to Frank, playing cards, drinking beer. I remember a snow storm and we decided we wanted Chinese, so the 3 of us piled into the car and off we went in the blinding snow. When we got to the place and go in, it’s empty. We ask if they were open , they said yes but “you order fast you eat fast”. We could hear the cook screaming something in Chinese when they took our order back. As we were eating the staff was running outside to start their cars and hovering over us while we ate to hurry us along. When we left they left too locking the door behind them. They must have thought them girls are crazy. We were. I loved her one liners. My favorite that I still use is “when I want your opinion, I’ll give it to you “ Betsy you were always a strong opinionated woman and you always “Did it your way”
