|In Memory of Elizabeth "Sue" Kraft, an incredible woman who will never be forgotten|
This memorial website was created in the memory of Elizabeth "Sue" Kraft, 76, born on June 1, 1935 and passed away on October 28, 2011. We will remember her forever.
"Miss you Mom! I wish we could go out and share fun times at lunch dinner. I sure miss your food that you spent so much time cooking and that we ate so fast. You always told me I had a hollow leg!"
"Dear Don, Joey and Morica,
I find this very unique for you to share all this with me. Your mom and I where great friends, while all of you where growing up. Your dad Horst and your mom spent many hours with us having fun, as all of you three shared a friendship with my family....Pretty dam close in fact. I am sorry your mom is not here to share all the things, that all of you children have accomplished in this life time....being parents, you never know...cannot promise perfection. However some people do. Well I would love to be in touch with all of you if you so seek. Much love Judy (mother of Todd, Jeff, Chris and Noelle) god mother of Morica Kraft...the beautiful lady."
"Happy Birthday Mom! There isn't a day that goes by when I don't think about you. Miss you so much!"
"I know you all miss your Mom very much. My heart goes out to all of you."
"Morica, it has been two years since your loss and I know from my own personal experience that the pain from your loss has gone away just a little, but you will forever miss her. You will continue to think of her daily, but now you can smile when her memories flood your head. You to are an amazing woman, Morica, and with each year that passes following her loss you will grow and grow."
"Every June 1st I remember her birthday. I know she will definitely be missed by her family. I love all of you."
"I truly enjoyed the family friendship with your mom and dad....we had so much fun together....sharing all of you. (you wild little guys)...Morica is my god child and I would love to connect, with some support from me. I have no contact info. I would love to have her connect by giving me a mailing address....or the best way to connect."
"I remember that Sue's birthday is in June. She was always my little sister. We remember her every day. Bless you all."
"I was always amazed by the skills Mom had.To name a few, she could write in shorthand, or type 100+ words a min. Speed read a 2 inch novel in 2 days.Wow! Her memory was sharp as a tack, and would talk for hours about growing up on a farm in Colorado or family history etc. she knew it all. For me her tough love I remember very well and am certain it changed my life."
"Mom was always there for me, no matter how many times the principle called. One time it was the principle who got in trouble thanks to Mom standing up for me.
Mom you will never be forgotten. I love you"
"I sent you each a special gift from the heavenly home above,
I sent you each a memory of my undying LOVE.
After all, love is a gift more precious than pure gold,
it was always important in the stories Jesus told.
Please love and keep each other as my Father said to do,
for I can’t count the blessings and love he has for you."
"I have no words to tell you the joy their voices bring,
for it’s beyond description to hear the angels sing.
I know how much you miss me, I see the pain inside your heart,
but I am not so far away, we really aren’t apart.
So be happy for me dear ones; you know I hold you near,
and be glad I’m spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year."
"MY FIRST CHRISTMAS IN HEAVEN
I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below,
with tiny lights, like heaven’s stars reflecting the snow.
The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away the tear,
for I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear,
but the sounds of music can’t compare with the Christmas choir up here."
"Was reading some of the recent messages and felt compelled to express my thanks to Morica. I shared an amazing day yesterday with Morica as we sorted through Sue's keep sakes. It felt both privileged and honored to be a part of Sue's and Morica's most special memories. Thanks, Morica, for allowing me to be a part of that. This poem was given to me the 1st xmas my mom was gone. Love Mary"
"THE SOUL WOULD HAVE NO RAINBOWS,
IF THE EYES POSSESSED NO TEARS."
"When I first started working with Sue I remember being told to be patient as Sue could be difficult. What??? I believe we had a special friendship from the minute we were introduced. Sue was a very special lady and I was certainly blessed to have shared in her life. The world has lost one of its brightest stars! I love you Sue and like everyone whose life you touched, will miss you."
"I am so sorry about the passing of your mom. She was like a mom to me and a big influence, even letting me move in after highschool. I remember spending many evenings sitting around the kitchen table talking about life. Over the years, she was still there to talk to and care, so wise, so giving of her love and time. I can hear her sweet voice and laugh as I type this. She was beautiful! xo"
"I have many happy memories of my Aunt Sue. I used to get to go and stay with her and her family when I was quite young. I even stayed at their old farm house. It was fun out there with Uncle Horst and the kids...we got to run all over the farm. She was always so kind and loving to all of us. I never remember her in a bad mood. She took good care of her older relatives and was so kind."
"I was sorry to hear of Aunt Sue's passing. She was married to my Mom's brother and an inspiration to us all. Aunt Sue was a very strong, insightful, hardworking, brave and accomplished lady. She was very wise and confident in giving advice from the heart. I know her family was everything to her. She had a wonderful laugh! I will never forget her and she'll be greatly missed. Heidi"
"Sue was such a wonderful lady--always willing to offer helpful advice with a positive outlook. Words seem inadequate to express the sadness I felt when I learned of her passing. To the Kraft Family: please accept my most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time."
"I will miss Sue. She was my little sister. We fought as sisters do but we always remembered each other. I will keep all three of you, Don, Morica and Joe, in my prayers. I wish we had lived closer so that we could have gotten together more often but life does not always let us do the things we wish to do. Again we will try to keep more in contact with each other. Love you all"
"I will share with you a message given to me during my loss. I found it very comforting. We all deal with grieving a loss differently. KEEP HER MEMORIES ALIVE. Speak of her and to her OFTEN. Place family photos and her keepsakes in open view. It all takes time and allow yourself that time to grieve. My thoughts are with you, and I am here for you if I am needed. Love you Mica. Mary"
"Dear Morica, Joe and Don,
Unfortunately, I was not blessed with knowing your mom in depth, my loss for sure. The first time I met Sue was on a trip to Laughlin for Morica's birthday, and it was quit an adventure LOL! Thanks for that memory Big Smiles. I do know first hand what a deep feeling of sorrow you have. I hope my mommy and Sue are chatting it up now."
"I didn't know Sue personally, but through her wonderful son Don, she helped me through one of the most trying times of my life. I was so deeply touched by her want to help a complete stranger. That act of kindness affected me in soo many ways ... it still does today. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Much love."
"She was more than my Mom, she was my best friend. She had the biggest heart and the most positive attitude. Even when she wasn't feeling well, she rarely complained. I'm truly grateful that I was able to be there for her when she started losing the battle to cancer these past few months. I know she'll always be with me, but her loss is nevertheless overwhelming. I love you, Mom, Always!"
"There are so many wonderful things that I could say about Sue. She was one of the most incredible women I have (and probably will have) ever met! She was such a kind, loving, and caring woman. She was a great listener and advisor, someone you could count on no matter what, and a wonderful mother. I will always remember Sue! She will be in my heart, thoughts, and memories FOREVER!"
"Morica, Joe & Don,
So sorry for your loss. I loved Sue very much. We were really good friends and I'm so sorry that I did not keep in touch for the last few years. Sue and I had a lot of fun times and we had daughters that were good friends and so had a lot in common. She will be missed very much. Ginger"
"Dear Don, Joe and Morica,
I am so sorry for this loss.......MOM's are important. Sometimes while growing up we did not think so. Your mom was a special lady. I enjoyed the friendship, when all of you where growing up...we had many good days. You know we were mothering, ALL OF YOU "SURF REST" CHILDREN, better explained as challenging.I could say much more. Judy"
"I'll always remember my mom in so many ways but one feature that l'll never forget is that she was always there to talk to. She would stop doing whatever she was doing and provided her undivided attention. Mom wouldn't provide an answer that easy however, she would help me think things through so we would figure it out together. It doesn't get any better than that!"
