It is with deep sorrow that we announce the loss of a wonderful Mother and a great human being. Ellen Minnie Walker (nee Brace) passed away at the age of 90 early Monday morning, June 6th 2016. Ellen was born on July 19th, 1925 in Bishops Falls Newfoundland. Survived by two daughters, Sandi and Joanne, one son, Colin, one daughter-in-law, Judy, one grandson, Brandon, one granddaughter, Christine and her husband Paul, two great-grandsons, Bryan and Trevor, two great-granddaughters Amanda, Cieria. Ellen was predeceased by her husband Charles B. Walker of 29 years in 1974 and her son Chuck Walker in 2015. Ellen was a WWII Veteran and a Legion Member for 39 years. Mom was a loving, caring, generous person with a wise and compassionate soul. She was very pretty with a beautiful smile that you couldn't help but notice. She was smart, good-natured, patient and had a strong will. Mom played harmonica, enjoyed her computer, card games, and loved dancing. She loved and helped animals. You are forever loved Mom, you will always be with us in our hearts in our souls, we will miss you more than words can ever say and what cannot be said will be wept. We would like to thank Dr. Chen, Dr. Galanopoulos, Elizabeth RN, Melissia NP and others, the STU in Surrey and all the team involved in Mom's Palliative Care from Home Health Care.
