She then worked at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home in Norfolk. Ellen then made her final move to Scribner, NE where she lived the remainder of her life. While continuing to raise her youngest children she worked in Fremont, NE at Sid Dillon Chevrolet for over 25 years. She was also devoted to cleaning St. Lawrence
Catholic Church in Scribner for many years.

Ellen was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church where she taught CCD and was an active member of the Ladies Group. She was a die hard Husker football fan and attended many games. She took pride in her Husker Room filled with various “Go Big Red” memorabilia. But, even more important to her, was her faith, and her children and extended family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, adoring all her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids and they adored her as well.
