Ellen Kay (Anthony) Tapscott born October 5, 1946 woke up in the presence of God on August 11, 2023 surrounded by her children and her siblings.

Reunited in eternity with her parents William & Zaddie Anthony, brother William "Bill" Anthony, sisters Barbara Anthony & Marilyn Gay, her sweet angel baby, and eight grandchildren who were born in God's arms. 

She is survived by her daughters; Lisa Ponder (Todd), Dianne Wood (Bern), and Cynthia Stilwell (Brian). She was a proud grandmother to Cebastian Cordoso, Joseph Cardozo, Lola Stilwell, Bryson Stilwell, Misty Smith (Patrick), Alana Blalock (Josh), her sister Donnia Barcheers and brother Gerald Anthony (Kelly). She was also blessed to be the great grandmother of 11 and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born in Utah, but raised in Oklahoma, she was a country girl at heart. She could plant a stick and grow a rose, hammocks were made for napping, rain was meant to be played in, and walks outside were filled with wonder. She had no mercy when she played Scrabble and could work on jigsaw puzzles for hours. She was a no nonsense, tell it like it is, loving mom with a wicked, and sometimes naughty, sense of humor. If a child was old enough to ask they were old enough to know. She held nothing back. When it came to her family her love knew no limits.

In death she didn't want to be mourned, not even a funeral, no memorial to be seen. Her wish was to be cremated instead. She wanted a party; no tears, no sappy stories, no sulking about, just the people she loved enjoying life.
