Tim, I am so sorry to here about your Mother's passing. I will continue to keep you and your family in my prayers.
Ellen Jones Wilkins, 72, a longtime resident of Stem, passed away Monday, June 11, 2012 at Duke University Medical Center.
A native of Granville County, the daughter of the late Herman T. and Elsie Mae Boyd Jones, retired from Carolina Sunrock, LLC as their Company Administrator, a current Commissioner and Mayor Pro-Tem for the town of Stem, a member of Tally Ho First Baptist Church teaching Sunday School for 38 years, a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 14, 2012 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor by Dr. David Beck and Rev. Eddie Nutt. Burial will be in Wilkins Family Cemetery in Stem.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Jimmy T. Wilkins of the home, a son, Timothy Wilkins (Kim) of Raleigh, two brothers, H.T. Jones, Jr. and Dallas Champion, both of Butner, two Grandchildren, numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.
Flowers are acceptable or memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 – 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor prior to the funeral service.

I never met MS. Ellen but her kind smile and her adoring son are tribute to her legacy. Wind chimes were given to TIm in her honor, anytime the winds blow, her memory remains alive forever.

Ms. Jones was a wonderful addition to the COG family during her time on the Board of the Kerr-Tar Regional Council of Governments. She was always interesting and interested in the events of each meeting and often had wise and common sense advice.
