Celebrating the life and Spirit of Ellonzo Maurice Martin December 17,1991- April 3, 2021.
Today we celebrate to life of a good man, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend to many.
Ellonzo was know by many names. Ellonzo by birth, Lonnie by the women in the family, Stew by the men in the family and Zoe by his loving mother.
Ellonzo stints from Elliott which is his father’s name that means a sincere, kind and well-mannered person. The name Lonnie means Noble, Stew short for Stewey which means “Excellent”, and Zoe who associated its meaning of “Life with Eternal Life in Biblical times.
So from all of these names, it’s proven he was definitely a good man and surely loved by anyone who crossed his path. He enjoyed sports, being an Uncle to his nieces and nephews and loved his family especially his sisters. He was genuinely the Truth!
He was caring and had a divine generosity for which he often and openly displayed to everyone. He was know for his handsome smile, beautiful teeth and unconditional love. He guarded his other and sisters with his life! He will be greatly remembered, greatly missed and the memories of him will live on FOREVER!
Big Sister Ellicia- My heart, my hero, I love you more than you will ever know. You will always be on my mind. You are forever my best friend, and my savior. You were my children first uncle and you meant so much to all of us. I will carry your name forever because you are my “Fallen Angel”. I will make sure my children carry on with the love you gave to everyone. You taught me how to finally love myself first and I just want you to know that you gave everyone exactly what God wanted you to give (LOVE)! You are and will always be a true King. I am my brothers’ Keeper!
Little sister Mariah- To my boy, my best friend, my dawg for real! I love you brother. You’ve always been my favorite guy in the world despite anything. You literally let me get away with murder growing up like I was so spoiled lol. You protecting me and confided in me about all your issue and trouble. That has always been the best thing between us. We could argue today and snap back tomorrow like nothing ever happened. One thing for sure two for certain, you’ve always been the GOAT! I’ve always said you, moma and Love are the most caring and genuine people I know, and then there’s me lol. I don’t play about yall ever and it’ll be this way forever brother. Ima hold down the fort you know Love a lil soft for real lol. See you later brother. Get your rest baby, you deserve it!

He is survived by his beautiful mother Yvette Martin, his father Elliott Powell, his step father Maurice Johnson, his 4 sisters Ellicia and Mariah Martin, Jocelyn and Evegan, step sister Amadi Williams, his only brother Elliott Powell Jr. (EB), his grandmother Mary Powell, 3 nieces, 4 nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of cousins.
