Ellsworth Foltz Whitaker, 88, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011 at VA Hospital in Durham.
A native of Henrietta County, VA., the widower of Darla McComber Whitaker and the son of the late Joseph and Florence Anna Beetlestone Whitaker. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and retired from Waste Industries.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Corinth Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving are a son, Jerry L. Whitaker of Mountain Home, Arizona, two granddaughters, two grandsons and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 7:00 – 8:30 PM Tuesday evening, October 25, 2011 at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford.
