Uncle Elmer was my Sunday School teacher as a young child. I still have a Bible he gave me. I enjoyed my Sunday School class! Another memory: Bob was traveling home and the car broke down at the Arizona Border. For some reason Uncle Elmer stopped by our house. When he heard about it, he bought the water pump, drove hours and fixed our car. That was a big miracle to a young couple!  He was so good to Grandma and Grandpa too. What precious times we had at their home on Catalina! We enjoyed the "Home Going Video"! Wish we could have been there. Love and prayers to all the family.

Emogene and I send our deepest sympathy to all of Elmer's family. We regret not being able to be in attendance at the memorial service, but send our love and prayers to all who will be gathered there in Avondale.
We dearly loved Elmer and he will be missed greatly.

Love You all of the Compton Family. So very Sorry to Loose Elmer. But I know it won't be long until we are together again. My girls and I would love to be there today. We will cherish the memories we have of Elmer and Dude coming to Kentucky. And of course I have a lot of memories of me growing up with Elmer. GOD Bless You All. Keep Your Chin Up. It won't be Long until we are all together over there.
