Nancy and Woodrow Dickerson
Elmo Lee Brogden, 77, a longtime resident of Granville County, passed away Thursday May 16th, 2013 at the home of his son.
A native of Granville County, he was the son of the late Tom and Beulah Keith Brogden. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, farmed most of his life and took great interest in his squirrel dogs.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Fellowship Baptist Church, off of Highway 50 in Creedmoor, by Rev. Tom Lamm. Burial will be in the Cannady-Brogden Family Cemetery located at 15125 Old Fellowship Rd., Creedmoor, NC 27522 across from the home place.
Surviving are his first wife Dorothy Hicks Love of Butner, his finace’ Jeanette Morris of Rocky Mount, two daughters, Angelia B. Blalock of Stem, Dottie B. Pabon’ of Fayetteville, two sons, Ronnie L. Brogden of Creedmoor, W. “Brent” Brogden of Creedmoor, three sisters, Mildred B. Newcomb and Mary Elizabeth B. Mitchell of Durham, Delores Faye B. Harmon of Creedmoor, four brothers, Thomas Brogden of Durham, Paul Brogden and Clyde Gene Brogden of Creedmoor, Joe Earl Brogden of Wake Forest , nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his longtime companion Phereba Johnson, a sister, Ethel B. Crews, two brothers, Kenny and Morris Brogden.
Visitation 6:00-8:30 PM Friday evening May 17th 2013 at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home of his son, Brent Brogden.
Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor is assisting the Brogden family.
