Elsie Aileen Hammond Love, 88, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at East Alabama Medical Center in Valley, Alabama from complications associated with accidental injuries at her home in West Point, Georgia.

 Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 14, at McCarthy Funeral Home in West Point, with a graveside service immediately thereafter, Reverend Mark McGee officiating.

 In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of West Point, the Greater Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, the American Red Cross, the Valley Haven School and the Chattahoochee Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

A special lady for so many things. Something dear to my heart was her faithful love and prayers for others. About 6 years ago I gave her a prayer card for my son, who is a missionary in the middle east,. She tucked it under the placemat at her breakfast table. Every morning at 7 a.m. she placed her hand on their picture and prayed for my son and his family. Of course, when they came home on furlough she gave the children chocolate candy when we stopped by. She lived up to her name, Aileen LOVE.
