This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Elton Hopper, 80 years old, born on April 11, 1942, and passed away on March 21, 2023. We will remember him forever.

Elton A. Hopper, 81, dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend; passed away on April 11, 2023 surrounded by his family.

Elton was born to Luther and Flora Hopper in Cullman County Alabama on March 21st, 1942. He enlisted into the Airforce in 1961 and then married Sandra in 1963. He Received his undergrad and two Masters Degrees in Electrical Engineering from Auburn, Illinois, and The University of Dayton respectively. Elton served the Airforce over 30 years developing Airborne Radar.

Elton loved spending time with family and playing golf. Earlier in life Elton enjoyed leading choir, singing in quartets, and piloting single engine airplanes.

Elton is survived by his wife Sandra and his three children Renee, Steve, and Cheryl. His grandchildren Kyle, Nicole, Elizabeth, Paige, Max, and Sam and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Judy.

Elton was predeceased by his parents, Luther and Flora, his brother Tom and sister Evelyn.

Elton’s family will host a Celebration Service on Saturday, April 22,2023 at Parkview Church of the Nazarene located at 4701 Far Hills Ave. Kettering, OH. Visitation at 10am. The Service to begin at 11am.
