Elwood “Woody” Langley, 77, passed away peacefully on Feb. 23, 2016 surrounded by his loved ones. Woody was the son of the late Thomas and Emily Langley and lived in Franklin Twp. his entire life.
He served in the US Army as a Specialist 4 from 1957-1959. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Malaga Vol. Fire Co. from 1961-1976. Woody owned a waste management business and worked for Pedroni Oil Co. until his retirement. He then worked for a concrete supply company and again, retired.
He enjoyed spending time at the VFW, talking about “crooked politicians”! He also enjoyed watching football, baseball and NASCAR. He loved crabbing with his children and grandchildren. He was a kindhearted man and loved helping others.
Woody is survived by his loving children; David Langley, Jill Lind and her husband Jeff, Thomas Langley and his girlfriend Kathleen Wilson, grandchildren Brandon and Brittany Langley, Kyle , Krystle and Casey Lind. Also survived by sisters Edith Camp, Pauline Kane Taylor, Bernice Cecil, Nora McDonald and Ross Ramsey, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers William and James, and sister Doris Papiano.
Family and friends are invited to his Memorial Service with Military Honors on Sat., March 5, 2016 at 11am at the Gloucester County Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 240 N. Tuckahoe Rd., Williamstown, NJ 08094.
